In February Wayne travelled to Nepal, Ethiopia and Kenya. Wayne started his journey in Surkhet, Nepal to carry out the Activate Plus leadership training with Adnan. It was a huge privilege to teach over 50 leaders from 23 churches there, who are so keen to learn more. One pastor travelled 5 hours on foot and two days with a bus from the Chinese border to be there 😯 What a joy it’s been to meet new friends and plant fresh thoughts and seeds in the minds of the leaders in Nepal.
On 26 and 27 February Wayne assisted by Sam were in Shashemene, a city in southern Ethiopia. There they held a two-day leadership training course which was attended by many more leaders than expected, and which surprised them with its intensity and the tangible presence of God. There were over 220 attendees, powerful sessions, grateful faces each day and some key contacts established for developing a future partnership.
After this, Wayne and Sam completed a three day training in Mombasa. It was a wonderful time of inspiring the leaders to new steps in God and teaching and making new friends across the nations. This training was also attended by 220 pastors and leaders. On Sunday Wayne was able to preach in two of the churches in Mombasa. Wayne said afterwards, “This journey has been a time of supernatural workings, protection and grace from God. It was important and a privilege to invest in church planting in the developing world through healthy teaching and to encourage the church leaders there, showing them that no matter how far apart we are, we care for each other and for the building of the Kingdom of God”.
